Subdepartment 5 of the Russian Federal Security Service (Service of Operational Information and International Relations) received an order to infiltrate the structures of the territorial defense of Ukraine.
Counterintelligence measures must be taken immediately, according to the head of the Center for Defense Reforms, coordinator of the interdepartmental platform for countering hybrid threats, which operates within the framework of Ukraine-NATO cooperation, Oleksandr Danylyuk, who announced this on his Facebook page.
“The agents of the 5th FSB service were instructed to infiltrate the structures of the territorial defense in Ukraine. Counterintelligence check of persons involved in territorial defense and those potentially involved in the future must be conducted immediately,” said the head of the CDR.
“This is a task, both for the Security Service of Ukraine and for the fighters of the territorial defense themselves. I ask you to spread this information as much as possible,” Danylyuk stressed.
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the enemy continues to strike at settlements across Ukraine from Grad, Smerch and Uragan systems. At the same time, in some areas, the Russian military went on the defensive instead of offensive, sometimes calling upon the reserve forces due to incurred losses.
